Thought I'd share a bit of my studio (sewing room) for my first post. My "Happy Place" it's small only 9 X 11. Each piece had to have some form of storage as the closet holds my clothing. These bookshelves are the Billy's from Ikeas.

This next photo is behind the door, the only open space left. It's perfect for ruler storage. My Hubby made this, at some point I need to paint it white.

I really wanted a design wall, never like laying out quilts on the floor. This is foam insulation covered in polar fleece. Used a 50% off coupon at JoAnns, it wasn't that spendy. I love that polar fleece holds other material so well. I've left stuff up for months at a time, it never comes loose. My pressing station has storage as well. Hubby added the bottom shelf for me :)

This cutting table is my favorite part of my studio. It's two of the Ikea 2 X 4 units on side with casters. It's the perfect height for me at 36 inches. Having this much space to prep and cut fabric is awesome. The caddie holding small tools is from Pampered Chef. Sweet Tea is my coffee.....always on hand and loaded with lots of sugar. /
Again there's plenty of storage, the fabric bins came from our local dollar store. The standing mat is amazing for my bad back, hubby found it thru an Auto Supply House !!!

This side is F.Q. storage. Picked up the plastic shoe boxes at Walmart for $1.97 each. I organized them by color and theme.

I needed better lighting so went to Lowe's and picked this out. Love that it's also a ceiling fan. Helps keep me cool during the Summer months.

Decided to wait on showing my sewing table. I'm buy a new machine the end of the month. Thought I'd do a Before and After post.......I can't wait to get her home :) Thanks for stopping by checking out my Blog !!!

Such an awesome looking sewing studio!!! So organized! Right now I just have a path through mine. I'm hoping to do so deep cleaning and organizing after Christmas! I can't wait to see your new machine and hear all about it.
