Clearly new to this blogging thing......this was never published. Better late than never I guess.
I will admit to not cooking a meal in the last week. Trying to finish Christmas gifts again this year. Working six days a week this past year, left little time in the studio. I'm making quilts for all (4) of a buddy's grand kids this year. Here's one on the design wall.
He's an electrian by trade. This Fall he installed flood light in our side n' backyard, replaced my front and back porch lights and ran power out to my chicken coop The quilts are my "thank you" gift.
Then at the last minute decided to make a quilt for Hubby's niece. It was meant to be for her birthday gift this Spring. However she's in town for the Holidays, so decided to save shipping cost (coast to coast) and get it done. What was I thinking ??? I'm struggling with it....she's really into the "Day of the Dead" stuff. It's just dark and creepy to me. I listened to "The Haunting of Blackwood House" by Darcy Coates while working on it. Seemed fitting to me :)
There are also several small projects I still need to get finished.

You are so awesome and giving!!! Such nice quilts to give.

Thanks Kristie, These four little munchkins are amazing ! I just paid it forwards. I've know their parents since the were in grade school. It's been fun watching them grow up and have families of their own.

I know right ? Working for 2 school dists, 6 days a week.......Leaves way too little studio time :( Live for the school holidays that we are off. I work 6 Saturdays on and 2 or 3 off then start a new session. Counting down to Spring Break....not leaving my studio that week :)
